Twenty years have passed since the release of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl in 2006, and Nintendo has decided to bring them back to the Switch platform. Pokémon Shining Diamond introduces Generation IV Pokémon, adding 107 new Pokémon. Some of them are a bit unique and can be caught during your adventure. As always, you choose your favorite Pokémon at the start of the game. Your goal is to prevent Team Galactic from reaching the river and stealing the region's Legendary Pokémon. The story remains simple and straightforward. What we loved the most was the game world and the countless Pokémon battles.
Pokémon Shining Diamond retains the core elements of the series. You control the protagonist as they explore the streets, complete missions, catch Pokémon, and build their team. As you gain experience and confidence, you can conquer gyms, defeat trainers, earn badges, and unlock opportunities to succeed in the game. You no longer need a partner Pokémon to use them.
The story mode of Pokémon Diamond requires about 30 hours of play. This game incorporates the best and most innovative elements from years of development, providing a familiar yet innovative gaming experience. If you’re a fan of the series, you can’t miss it.
